Real Disaster!!!!
After spending 4 days at home sleeping my ass off and doing nothing, today i literally have to drag myself to work. totally not looking fwd to it. and true to my instict it was a busy day as always. all the rooms are open and tho when i started my shift i had around 8 patients, i admitted more than 6 patients and i was trying my best to complete my other outstanding task such as taking my hourly parameters and discharging patients, ordering diet (by 4pm), admissions, bla bla bla.... i was rushing thru everthing to get it done with. by 6 pm i am still discharging patients and admitting at the same time that my patients are not fed. their dinner were only served at 6.30pm..... i then rushed thru some paper works and entered the vital signs in the ed web and collected the plates and send the agv down for washing. i managed to go for my break at 7.30pm! well all of us either missed our break or went at a later time.
ED was really packed. it was pretty bad at ed and patients have to wait for a very long time to get warded coz we are really full house. so, we have to send them over to alex hosp. ee ling managed to joke that downstairs at ed it was like the great singapore sale. yeah rt, i told her it was the tan tock seng sale... hehehe
i really hope they will put more staff over at edtc or deploy some whenever we are busy as u can imagine how can 2 staff managed with 20 patients.... i am running up n down and my rn is up to her neck already & all this with addition of the anxious family members to be entertained..... i really hope we will get more bonus next mth, if there is any hahah dream on!
